SONA FOR HOME SERVICES

You're under a sink. Sona's on the phone.

Every plumber, HVAC tech, and electrician loses jobs the same way: on a ladder while the phone rings. Sona answers, quotes your call-out fee, books the service window, and puts only true emergencies through to you.

Free to start, no card. Paid plans include a local number.

Sona

Beacon Plumbing and Air — this is Sona, the company's AI dispatcher. What's going on?

Caller

There's water coming through my kitchen ceiling — like, actively dripping. I don't know from where.

Sona

Okay — if you can, turn off the water at the main shutoff, usually by the water heater or at the street. I'm getting a tech to you now. What's the address?

Caller

412 Alder Court. Please hurry.

Sona

I'm putting you through to Marcus, our on-call tech, now — he'll give you an arrival time. The emergency call-out is $129, applied to the repair if you go ahead.

The problem

Every call you miss goes to the next truck.

What it costs

Voicemail

is where jobs die

A homeowner with a leak calls down the search results until someone — or Sona — picks up. Second place gets nothing.

Ladder time

is when the next job rings

On a roof, in a crawlspace or under a sink, nobody on the crew can answer. The homeowner doesn't know that, and books the next company that does.

2 AM

is when pipes burst

Water doesn't keep office hours. The jobs with the best margins happen at the worst times to answer a phone.

Use cases

Emergencies reach you. Routine jobs get a window.

01

Emergency escalation

Burst pipe vs. dripping faucet — your rules tell Sona the difference. The first goes straight to your on-call tech by warm transfer; the second books a morning window.

02

Service window booking

Offers real arrival windows from your schedule and books one inside the call, and your office gets it by email. No “someone will call you back.”

03

Call-out fees & pricing

Quotes your published fees and ranges exactly as you set them, and never invents a price on your behalf.

04

Job intake details

Address, gate code, pets, where the shutoff is, all captured before the truck rolls.

05

Maintenance plan calls

Answers membership questions and books seasonal tune-ups that keep the slow months full.

06

Every call written down

Name, number, address and what's wrong, for every call Sona can't finish — waiting in your inbox, not your voicemail.

The questions home-services companies get all day.

Type as the caller

Don't take our word for it. Interrogate it.

Type what a customer would say on the phone. The replies come from a canned table for a fictional business — a real deployment answers from your own documents.

The panel

Every call lands somewhere. That somewhere is open.

Beacon Plumbing & Air is a seeded home-services company workspace running the real dashboard — two weeks of calls, transcripts, bookings and agent config. Eleven trucks across the Phoenix metro. Emergency dispatch at 2 AM, arrival windows with gate codes, and the difference between an active leak and a warm house.

FAQ

Questions home-services companies actually ask.

Can Sona quote prices?

It quotes exactly what you publish: call-out fees, diagnostic charges, price ranges per job type. It never improvises a number and always notes that final pricing comes from the tech on site.

How does emergency dispatch work?

You define what counts as an emergency. When a call matches, Sona warm-transfers it to your on-call tech with a spoken briefing, or takes an urgent message if nobody picks up. Everything else books a normal window.

Does it book into our field software?

Sona books against the availability you set in the dashboard — windows, booking rules, date overrides. Jobs arrive as structured bookings and messages: address, issue, urgency. Calendar and field-service platform integrations are on the roadmap, not shipped.

What number does Sona answer on?

A local one that comes with every paid plan. You pick the area code in the dashboard, buy the number there and assign your receptionist to it. Then conditional forwarding sends calls from your own line to Sona only when you don't pick up, or all the time. Your rules, live in 15 minutes.

What about robocalls and repeat callers?

A number that keeps redialing is blocked before it reaches Sona once it passes the per-caller limit, and blocked calls cost nothing. Sona doesn't screen robocalls yet: one that gets through is answered like any other call, and it only reaches your phone if your rules transfer it.

Start free. Go live when you’re ready.

Create a workspace and get your knowledge base and team ready at your own pace. When you choose a plan you build your receptionist and pick the local number Sona answers on, and everything you set up carries over.
